(99) "Wastewater" means the liquid and water-carried industrial or
<br />domestic wastes from dwellings, commercial buildings,
<br />industrial facilities and institutions, together with any
<br />ground water, that may be present, whether treated or
<br />untreated, which is discharged into or permitted to enter
<br />the City's wastewater disposal system.
<br />(100) "Wastewater treatment plant" (See sewage treatment plant).
<br />(101) "Watercourse" means a channel in which a flow of water
<br />occurs, whether continuously or intermittently.
<br />(102) Waters of the State" means all streams, lakes, ponds.
<br />watercourses, waterways, wells, springs, reservoirs aquifers,
<br />irrigation systems, drainage systems, aril. all other bodies of
<br />accumulations of water, surface or underground, natural or
<br />artificial, public or private, which are contained within
<br />flow through, or border upon, the State or any portion
<br />thereof .
<br />SECTION 2 SECTION 911.12 of the Codified Ordinance of the City
<br />of North Olmsted, Ohio, which now reads in part as follows:
<br />"(c) No person shall discharge or cause to be discharged any of the
<br />following described waters or wastes into any public sewers:
<br />(1) Any wastewater having a temperature which will inhibit
<br />biological activity in the TV treatment plant resulting in
<br />interference; but in no case, wastewater with a temperature at
<br />Centigrade, 104 degrees Fahrenheit.
<br />(2) Any gasoline, benzene, naphtha, fuel oil or other flammable or
<br />explosive liquids, solids or gases which by reason of their
<br />nature or quantity are or may be sufficient, either alone or
<br />by interaction, to cause fire or explosion or be injurious in
<br />any other way to the operation of the POTW.
<br />(3) Arty water or wastes containing free oils, emulsified oils and
<br />grease exceeding an average of one hundred parts per million
<br />833 pounds per million gallons, of other soluble matter.
<br />(4) Any waters or wastes containing toxic or poisonous solids,
<br />liquids or gases in sufficient quantity, either singly or by
<br />interaction with other wastes, to injure or interfere with any
<br />sewage treatment process, constitute a hazard to humans or
<br />animals, create a public nuisance or create any hazard in the
<br />receiving waters of the sewage treatment plant, including
<br />cyanides.
<br />(5) Any garbage that has not been properly shredded. The
<br />installation and operation of any garbage grinder equipped
<br />with a motor of three-fourths horsepower, 0.76 hp metric, or
<br />greater shall be subject to the review and approval of the
<br />Building Commissioner.
<br />(6) Any ashes, cinders, sand, mud, straw, shavings, metal, glass,
<br />rags, feathers, tar plastics, wood paunch, manure, hair and
<br />fleshings, entrails, lime slurry, lime residues, chemical
<br />residues, paint residues, cannery waste, bulk solids or any
<br />other solid or viscous substance capable of causing
<br />obstruction to the flow in sewers or other interference with
<br />proper operation of the sewage works.
