CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 91-64 <br />BY: Ronald 'izallon <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 161.06 OF THE CODIFIED <br />ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ENTITLED <br />VEHICLE MILEAGE ALLOWANCE" OF CHAPTER 161 ENTITLED <br />"EMPLOYEES GENERALLY" . <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted has reviewed the mileage allowance presently <br />allowed for employees of the City driving their own vehicle; and <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined that the existing rate of 21 cents per mile is not <br />sufficient under economic conditions as they exist today, and does not fully cover reimburse- <br />ment for fuel and oil, wear and tear, and the cost of insurance; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of Council to increase the amount to 27.5 cents per mile. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That Section 161.06 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North <br />Olmsted entitled "VEHICLE MILEAGE ALLOWANCE" of Chapter 161 entitled "EM- <br />PLOYEES GENERALLY" which presently reads as follows: <br />" 161.06 VEHICLE MILEAGE ALLOWANCE <br />There is hereby established a transportation allowance for City employees <br />using their personal motor vehicles for official City business and that the <br />amount of reimbursement and the requirements to obtain reimbursement for <br />the use of personal automobiles shall be as follows: <br />(a) In order to be reimbursed for the use of personal motor vehicles on <br />official City business, such use shall be authorized by the Mayor, in <br />writing. <br />(b) The reimbursement for the use of personal motor vehicles on official <br />City business shall be at the rate of twenty-one cents ($0.21) per mile." <br />be and the same is hereby amended and as amended shall read as follows: <br />161.06 VEHICLE MILEAGE ALLOWANCE <br />There is hereby established a transportation allowance for City employees <br />using their personal motor vehicles for official City business and that the <br />
