C <br />.sue <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTID <br />RESOLUTION N0. 91 - 17 <br />BY: Mrs ._ Saringer <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO <br />ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE SANITARY SEWER <br />REHABILITATION, PHASE B-1991, IMPROVEMII~]TS AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS <br />IN THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTID, AMID DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHF:RFAS, the City Engineer has had plans and specifications prepared <br />for sanitary sewer improvements as various locations in the City of North <br />Olmsted and deems it appropriate for the best utilization of the sewer system <br />to construct the aforesaid sanitary sewer improvements, and <br />WHEREAS, this Council, having been advised of the recommendation of the <br />City Engineer, is desirous of having the Director of Fublic Service advertise <br />for bids in accordance with the plans and specifications now in his office for <br />the purpose of constructing sanitary sewer improvements, and <br />WHEREAS, the District One Public Works Integrating Committee has approved <br />a Grant of $1,781,000.00 for financial assistance to the City for this project. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVID BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTID, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO. <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and h? is hereby <br />authorized to advertise for the bids for the construction of the Sanitary <br />Sewer Rehabilitation, Phase B-1991, improvements at various locations in the City <br />of North Olmsted, all of which shall be in accordance with specifications now on <br />file in his office, and that upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor is <br />hereby authorized to enter into a contract and execute the same on behalf <br />of the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, <br />safety and welfare, and for the further reason that is immediately <br />necessary to take corrective actions in order to insure the health, safety <br />and welfare of the residents served by these sewers and further, provided <br />it received the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage <br />and approval by the Mayor. <br />~---- <br />PASSED: ~ -'~ t~ `-~/ / 9 ~1/ First reading ~ ~ ~"t /~ / <br />. ---L1L-,~~ <br />ATTEST: <br />~r ,~ <br />i Barbara L.
