CI'i'Y OF NOR1$ OIMSrED <br />ORDINANCE 93 -119 <br />BY: Dean McKay <br />AN ORDINANCE AMIDING THE 1RAFFIC CONIItOL FILE OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OIMMM SY YROVIDING FOR THE Tw=?'rAT T.??'rION OF A <br />S'lOP SIGN ON SELBUmST BQAD WM THE SAME IRMSECTS WI7H <br />D[IANE xQAD, TMM RHU.ATING MAFFIC IINffitING DIIANE BQAD, <br />ANID DHCLARIlNG AN ENERGII?. <br />UEEREAS, this Council is aware of the fact that currently <br />there is no stop sign regulating traffic entering onto Duane Road <br />from Selhurst Road; and <br />WHEtEAS, it is the belief of this Council that the lack <br />of a stop sign on Selhurst Road, where the same intersects with <br />Duane Road, regulating traffic entering Duane Road is a safety <br />hazard; and <br />wREtF.AS, it is the desire of this Council to correct <br />aforesaid deficiency by installing a stop sign on Selhurst Road, <br />regulating traffic entering Duane Road; and <br />WEEREAS, Chapter 305 of the Traffic Code provides for the <br />maintenance of the Traffic Control File, which said file can be <br />amended only by Ordinance. <br />?, MMF:Rr)RF. BE IT (H21AINID BY THE Ca[ANCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NOlt'IIi OIMSTED, (:allRl'Y OF CUYAEMA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Police Department be and the same is <br />hereby authorized and directed to amend the Traffic Control File <br />the City of North Olmsted to indicate thereon the installation of <br />a stop sign on Selhurst Road where the same intersects with Duane <br />Road, thereby regulating the traffic entering Duane Road. <br />SBC.CION 2: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized <br />and directed to cause said stop sign to be installed in accordance <br />with the provisions of this Ordinance. <br />SFJLTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure inmediately necessary for the preservation of <br />the public health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the City <br />of North Olmsted, and further provided it receives the affirmative <br />vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect <br />and be in force imediately upon its passage and approval by the <br />Mayor.
