UEEREAS, this Council is aware of the fact that currently there is no stop sign regulating traffic entering onto Duane Road from Selhurst Road; and WHEtEAS, it is the belief of this Council that the lack of a stop sign on Selhurst Road, where the same intersects with Duane Road, regulating traffic entering Duane Road is a safety hazard; and wREtF.AS, it is the desire of this Council to correct aforesaid deficiency by installing a stop sign on Selhurst Road, regulating traffic entering Duane Road; and WEEREAS, Chapter 305 of the Traffic Code provides for the maintenance of the Traffic Control File, which said file can be amended only by Ordinance. ?, MMF:Rr)RF. BE IT (H21AINID BY THE Ca[ANCIL OF THE CITY OF NOlt'IIi OIMSTED, (:allRl'Y OF CUYAEMA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Police Department be and the same is hereby authorized and directed to amend the Traffic Control File the City of North Olmsted to indicate thereon the installation of a stop sign on Selhurst Road where the same intersects with Duane Road, thereby regulating the traffic entering Duane Road. SBC.CION 2: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to cause said stop sign to be installed in accordance with the provisions of this Ordinance. SFJLTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure inmediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the City of North Olmsted, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force imediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
