CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 93-115 BY: COUNCILMAN LIND AN ORDINANCEAMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL FILE OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO PROVIDE FOR THE INSTALLATION OF TWO "NO RIGHT TURN ON RED" SIGNS AT THE INTERSECTION OF MAPLE RIDGE ROAD AND CLAGUE ROAD WHERE THE SAME INTERSECTS WITHCLAGUEROADTHEREBYCONTROLLING VEHICLES TRAVELING IN A EASTERLY DIRECTIDN ON MAPLE RIDGE ROAD AND ALSO CONTROLLING VEHICLES TRAVELING IN A SOUTHERLY DIRECTION ON CLAGUE ROAD WHERE THE SAME INTERSECTS WITH MAPLE RIDGE ROAD, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, Council and the Administration have determined that it is in the best interest of public safety to prohibit right hand turns on red, at the intersection of Maple Ridge Road and Clague Road for traffic travelling in an Easterly direction on Maple Ridge Road where the same intersects with Clague Road; and as well controlling vehicles traveling in a southerly direction on Clague Road where the same intersects with Maple Ridge Road; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council and Administration to amend the traffic control file to provide for the installation of said traffic control signs; and WHEREAS, Chapter 305 of the Traffic Code provides for the maintenance of a Traffic Control File which said file can be amended only by ordinance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Police Department be and they are hereby authorized and directed to amend the traffic control file of the City of North Olmsted to indicate therein the installation of "No Right Turn on Red" signs as aforesaid. SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to have the proper department cause said sign to be installed in accordance with the terms of this Ordinance.
