CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 93-116 <br />BY: ED BOYLE, MAYOR <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PARAGRAPH (A) OF <br />SECTION 1161.11 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES FOR <br />THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, CONCERNING <br />IMPROVEMENTS OF PAR%ING AREAS. <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Departments of Engineering and Building of the <br />City of North Olmsted to require all driveways and parldng areas for all homes and buildings <br />constructed after the passage of this ordinance; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Engineer is concerned with the hazard and nuisance of gravel <br />collecting on the public sidewalks or pavement, and the nuisance of gravel washing into the <br />drainage system. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF Ci7YAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: 1'hat paragraph (a) of Section 1161.11, entitled "Improvements of <br />Parking Areas; Landscaping," of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, <br />which presently reads: <br />(a) All parldng areas and access driveways, except for <br />one and two family dwellings, sha11 be constructed of concrete <br />or bituminous concrete pavement. Parking areas sha11 be graded <br />to provide drainage so that injury shall not be caused to adjacent <br />properties nor sha11 water drain across the public sidewalk. <br />Parking areas having the capacity of ten or more automobiles <br />shall provide continuous concrete curbs at the perimeter of <br />parldng areas to prevent vehicles projecting into required yards <br />and to define parldng areas.
