<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 93-112 <br />BY: MAYOR ED BOYLE AND THE ENTIRE CITY COUNCIL <br />A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE NAT/ONAL COUNCIL OF JEWISH <br />WOMENS NATIONAL DAY OF THE WORKING PARENT, AND DECLAR/NG <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the well-being of our families is centra/ to the well-being, strength <br />and success of our future; and <br />WHEREAS, there are an increasing number of Americans who ba/ance work <br />responsibilities with the demands of caring for children and e/der/y re/atives; and <br />WHEREAS, there is a critical need for both workers and businesses to /earn <br />more about child and e/der care options; and <br />WHEREAS, the Nationa/ Council of Jewish Women is forging partnerships in <br />communities around the nation to broaden emp/oyer and genera/ public awareness of <br />dependent care issues and to imp/ement strategies for meeting those needs. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of North <br />O/msted, County of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio: <br />SECT/ON 1: That the Mayor and this Council support the efforts to educate <br />peop/e throughout our nation on proper care for children and the e/derly. <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor and this Council recognize September 9, 1993 as <br />The Nationa/ Council of Jewish Women's Nationa/ Day of the Working Parent. <br />SECTION 3: That this Reso/ution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure and shall take effect and be in force immediate/y upon its passage and <br />approva/ by the Mayor.
