CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 93-'90 <br />BY: DEAN MCKAY <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL <br />FILE OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED BY PROVIDING <br />FOR THE INSTALLATION OF NO PARKING SIGNS ON THE <br />EAST SIDE OF WESTVIEW DRIVE BEGIIVrTING AT THE <br />SOUTH CURB OF LORAIN ROAD AND CONTINUING <br />SOUTI3 FOR TWO HUNDRED FEET, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, currently there is no signalization at the intersection of Westview Drive and <br />Lorain Road; and <br />WHEREAS, parking on the east side of Westview Drive impedes the safe flow of traffic; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to promote the safe movement of traffic on <br />Westview Drive by installing "No Parking" signs on the east side of Westview Drive from the <br />south curb of Lorain Road to a point on Westview Drive two hundred feed south of Lorain <br />Road; and <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 305 of the Traffic Code provides for the maintenance of the <br />Traffic Control File, which said file can be amended only by ordinance. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Police Department be and the same is hereby authorized and <br />directed to amend the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted to indicate thereon the <br />installation of "No Parking" signs on the east side of Westview Drive from the south curb of <br />Lorain Road to a point two hundred feet south of Lorain Road thereby prohibiting parking on <br />the east side of Westview Drive, as aforesaid. <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to cause said <br />signs to be installed in accordance with the provisions of this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the
