CITY OF NOR1H OIMS'TED RFSOLUTION N0. 93-86 BY: 'THE MAYOR AND ENTIRE COUNCIL A RESOLUTION CONIMIINDING THE ACHIEVEMENT By MATTHEW TESSMAN OF THE EAGLE SCOUT AWARD IN BOY SCOUTING WBEREAS, this Council and the Administration recognize and reaffirm their dedication to organized Scouting; and WBERF,AS, this Council and the Administration further recognize that those participating in Scouting, both the youths and their leaders, are an invaluable asset to the community and the Nation, and that the ideals of Scouting, the Scout Law and the Scout Pledge are commitments that all citizens should strive for; and WHEREAS, when ane of aur young citizens ha.s been comanitted to Scouting to such an extent that he earns the rank of Eagle Scout, it is truly a noteworthy accomplishment; and WHEREAS, MAT'IIir,'W TESSMAN, a member of Boy Scout Troop 664, has served his troop as an Assistant Patrol Leader for two years and as a Patrol Leader, and was chosen as an Honorary Official during the 1991 A11 Scouts Weekend; and WHEREAS, MATTHEW TESSMAN was an active Scout by participating in summer camp, Memorial Day Parades, rnimerous weekend campouts, the Wright Patterson trip, and Snorkeling BSA; and WHMEA.S, MATTHEW TESSMAN, in achieving his Eagle Scout Award earned the following Skill Awards: Camping, Citizenship, First Aid, Hiking, Swimming, Communication, Cooking, and Physical Fitness, and has also earned twenty-tYiree Merit Badges; and WBEREAS, while MATTHEW was undertaking all these Scouting projects, he also was a member of the Marching Band for four years, a member of the Key Club for four years, a member of the track team, a member of the cross country team serving as Captain and receiving a varsity letter, a member of the swim team serving as Captain, a member of the German Club, a member of the Wind Ensemble, and a member of John Knox Church; and WHEREA,S, MATTHEW 'IESSMAN will be attending Ohio State University where he will major in Engineering; and
