CITY OF NOR1H OIMS'TED <br />RFSOLUTION N0. 93-86 <br />BY: 'THE MAYOR AND ENTIRE COUNCIL <br />A RESOLUTION CONIMIINDING THE ACHIEVEMENT By <br />MATTHEW TESSMAN OF THE EAGLE SCOUT AWARD <br />IN BOY SCOUTING <br />WBEREAS, this Council and the Administration recognize and reaffirm their <br />dedication to organized Scouting; and <br />WBERF,AS, this Council and the Administration further recognize that those <br />participating in Scouting, both the youths and their leaders, are an invaluable <br />asset to the community and the Nation, and that the ideals of Scouting, the <br />Scout Law and the Scout Pledge are commitments that all citizens should strive <br />for; and <br />WHEREAS, when ane of aur young citizens ha.s been comanitted to Scouting to <br />such an extent that he earns the rank of Eagle Scout, it is truly a noteworthy <br />accomplishment; and <br />WHEREAS, MAT'IIir,'W TESSMAN, a member of Boy Scout Troop 664, has served his <br />troop as an Assistant Patrol Leader for two years and as a Patrol Leader, and <br />was chosen as an Honorary Official during the 1991 A11 Scouts Weekend; and <br />WHEREAS, MATTHEW TESSMAN was an active Scout by participating in summer <br />camp, Memorial Day Parades, rnimerous weekend campouts, the Wright Patterson <br />trip, and Snorkeling BSA; and <br />WHMEA.S, MATTHEW TESSMAN, in achieving his Eagle Scout Award earned the <br />following Skill Awards: Camping, Citizenship, First Aid, Hiking, Swimming, <br />Communication, Cooking, and Physical Fitness, and has also earned twenty-tYiree <br />Merit Badges; and <br />WBEREAS, while MATTHEW was undertaking all these Scouting projects, he also <br />was a member of the Marching Band for four years, a member of the Key Club for <br />four years, a member of the track team, a member of the cross country team <br />serving as Captain and receiving a varsity letter, a member of the swim team <br />serving as Captain, a member of the German Club, a member of the Wind Ensemble, <br />and a member of John Knox Church; and <br />WHEREA,S, MATTHEW 'IESSMAN will be attending Ohio State University where he <br />will major in Engineering; and
