, .,?. <br />• ,?,. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 93- 82 <br />BY: MAYOR ED BOYLE <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIItECTOR OF <br />PUBLIC SAFETY TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR <br />CENTRAL DISPATCH COMMUNICATION AND RELATED <br />EQUIPMENT FOR THE USE OF FIRE STATION #1 AND <br />FIRE STATION #2 AS WELL AS FOR THE USE AFTER BY <br />THE NORTH OLMSTED POLICE DEPARTMENT. <br />WHEREAS, upon the advice of the Director of Public Safety that there are needed <br />improvements within the dispatch arm of the Police Department; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to update the said equipment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY AND STATE OF OHIO. <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Safety be and he is hereby ordered and <br />directed to advertise for bids for Central Dispatch Telecommunication System and related <br />equipment, a11 of which shall be in accordance with the specifications now on file in his office, <br />and upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor is hereby directed to enter into a contract <br />for the purchase of said equipment. <br />SECTION 2: That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, health and safety of City <br />residents, and for the further reason that it is immediately necessary to upgrade the Central <br />Dispatch System in order to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the residents of the City <br />of North Olmsted, and further that, provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and <br />approval by the Mayor. <br />
