<br />?., <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OH2O, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Council of the City of North Olmsted <br />expresses its ada.mant opposition to the budget proposal of the <br />Governor of the State of Ohio which would set reductions in the <br />percentages of funds generated by the State's four major shared <br />revenue sources which would be placed in the Local Government <br />Fund and the Local Government Revenue Assistance Fund as such <br />reductions are unjustified and would have a devastating effect on <br />local government finances entai.Iing reductions in revenues <br />estimated to be in the thousands of dollars. <br />SECTION 2: That Clerk of Council is hereby directed to send <br />copies o this Resolution to Governor George Voinovich, Speaker <br />of the House Vernal Riffe, Chairman of the House Finance <br />Committee Patrick Sweeney, State Representative Edward Kasputis <br />and State Senator Gary Suhadolnik. <br />SECTION 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure .immediately necessary for the preservation of <br />the public health, safety and welfare and further provided it <br />receives an affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of <br />Council, it sha11 take effect and be in force immed.iately upon <br />its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED : l S) PF ? 3 <br />7?:? .. <br />arbara L.
