CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 93-62 <br />BY: <br />THE AiAYOR AND ENTIRE CITY COUNCIL <br />A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING MAY 6, 1993 AS THE NATIONAL <br />DAY OF PRAYER. <br />WHEREAS, The National Day of Prayer was proclaimed by the <br />Continental Congress in 1775; and <br />WHEREAS, In 1988, both Houses of Congress ratified <br />legislation setting aside the National Day of Prayer for the <br />first Thursday of every Nay; and <br />WHEREAS, Residents of North Olmsted will join their fellow <br />Americans in a moment of silent prayer for our nation on <br />May 6, 1993; and <br />WHEREAS, As residents and leaders in the City of North <br />Olmsted, we humbly acknowledge our dependence upon God for <br />wisdom, courage and power. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That it is the desire of this Council to <br />observe May 6, 1993 as the National Day of Prayer. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be <br />in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law. <br />1 <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST: ? <br />rbara Seman, lerk of Council James D.
