<br />CITY OF NORTEi OIMSTED <br />ORDINAIVCS N0. 93 - 43 <br />BY: George Nashar <br />AN ORDIDiANCE ANMING THE 73tAFFIC (ONTROL FILE OF 1'fiE <br />CIIY OF MRTEI OIMSTED BY PROVIDING FOR 7HE NSTAT T.ATION <br />OF A S'lOP SIGN ON CINNAMDN WAY WtE THE SAME IlNlERSE:TS <br />WIM BAR'iON ROAD, TMF.RY REg1IATI1G TRAFFIC MnMM <br />BARTE)N RQAD, AM DFiCiARIlM AN IIE[tGENC.'Y. <br />UEEREAS, this Council is aware of the fact that currently there is no <br />stop sign regulating traffic entering onto Barton Road from Cinnamon Way; and <br />wHEmAS, it is the belief of this Council tha.t the lack of a stop sign <br />on Cinnamon Way where the same intersects with Barton Road, regulating traffic <br />entering Barton Road is a safety hazard; and <br />WHFRFAS, it is the desire of this Council to correct the aforesaid <br />deficiency by installing a stop sign on Cinnamon Way regulating traffic entering <br />Barton Road; and <br />wE:RF.A-S, Chapter 305 of the Traffic Code provides for the maintenance of <br />the Traffic Control File, which said file can be amended only by Ordinance. <br />NO,1, ??F., BE IT ORDAIlM BY THE COINCIL OF 1HE CITY OF NORTH 0U15TED, <br />COiJN13C OF COYAHOGA, AM STATB OF Oiffi0: <br />SWTION 1: That the Police Department be and the same is hereby <br />authorized and directed to amend the Traffic Control File of the City of North <br />Olmsted to indicate thereon the installation of a stop sign an Cinnamon Way <br />where the sam intersects with Barton Road, thereby regulating the traffic <br />entering Barton Road. <br />SE (.'rION 2: That the Mayor be and he is lereby authorized and directed <br />to cause saicTstop sig}n to be installed in accordance with the provisions of <br />this Ordinance. <br />SELTION 3: Zhat this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an esnergency <br />measure immeciately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety <br />and welfare of the citizens of the City of North Olmsted, and further provided <br />it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it <br />shall ta.ke effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by <br />the Mayor.
