<br /> <br />CITY OF NORTfi OLMSTID <br />ORDINANCE N0. 93 - 36 <br />BY: Mayor Ed Boyle <br />A ORDINANCE AUTIiORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR OF TfiE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTID TO ENTER INTO AN AGREIIMIIVT WITH MALCOLM PIRNIE, INC. <br />TO PROVIDE ENGINEERING SERVICES PERTAINING TO IN]MEDIATE OPERATIONAL <br />IMPROVEMMS FOR THE WASTEWATER TREATMM PLANT, AND DECLARING AN <br />IIMIItGINCY. <br />WHEREAS, this Council is aware of the fact that the Ohio <br />Enviromental Protection Agency has ordered the City to achieve <br />consistent compliance with the NPDES Permit for the Wastewater Treatment <br />Plant; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor has recommended that the services of the <br />engineering firm of Malcolm Pirnie, Inc. be hired to accomplish the <br />aforesaid project due to their expertise in this field; and <br />WHIItEAS, upon the recommendation of the Mayor, this Council does <br />hereby express its desire to have the Mayor enter into a contract with <br />said firn for and on beha.lf of the City. <br />NOW, MMFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THIS COUNCIL OF THEE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTID, COLTIVTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed <br />to enter into and agreement with Malcolm Pirnie, Inc. for the purpose of <br />providing engineering services pertaining to immediate operational <br />improvements for the Wastewater Treatment Plant. as recommended by <br />Malcolm Pirnie, Inc. as a result of the facility study. <br />SECTION 2: That this Orclinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, <br />safety and welfare and for the further reason that it is immediately <br />necessary to proceed with the immediate operational improvements and <br />further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />;nembers of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its sse an <br />Pass d approval by the Mayor. <br />ID : ?a?
