CITY OF NORTH OUZSTED ORDINANCE N0. 93-27 BY: MAYOR ID BOYLE AN ORDINANCE AUTfiORIZING 7HE MAYOR 10 IlVTER INTO AN AGREEhlENT WITIi OHIO COUNCIL $ AND LOCAL #2681 OF THE AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUN'.rY AND AIUNICIPAL aIPLOYEES, COVERING CLERICAL AND TECHINICAL IIKPLOYEES, ANID DECLARING AN aIERGIlVCY. WHEREAS, the legislature of the State of Ohio has heretofore adopted legislation calling for Collective Bargaining Agreements with public er.lployees; and WHiEREAS, the Clerical and Technical employees of the City of Tiorth Olmsted, through Ohio Council 8 and Local #2681 of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, has been recogmized as the exclusive bargainino agent for the Clerical and Technical employees; and WHIItEAS, the Administration has bargained with the Clerical and Technical employees and concluded that bargaining with an agreerient which is satisfactory to the adrninistration; and WfIEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into the Collective Ba.rgaining Agreement which ha.s been negotiated by the adriinistration. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAIIVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTIi OLMSTED, COUN'i'Y OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: Section 1: That the Niayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into the Collective Bargaining Agreement which was nebotiated with Ohio Council 8 and Local #2681 of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal employees, a copy of which agreement is attached hereto and nade a part hereof and r,iarked, "Exhibit A". Section 2: niat the effective date of any and all wage and fringe benefits specified in said Arreement shall be July 19, 1992 through June 30, 1995. Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be and the same hereby is declared to be an emer?ency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare of this City and for the further reason tha.t it is immediately necessary to provide for continuity of services for the year 1993 and thereafter; wherefore, this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and '??ediate?-y) after its passage and approval by the Mayor.
