.r CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N0.2011 - 7 BY: Council Members Mahoney, Williamson and Kearney AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AND FIXING THE COMPENSATION FOR COUNCIL AT-LARGE MEMBERS FOR THE TERM OF OFFICE COMMENCING JANUARY 1, 2012 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2015. WHEREAS, this Council is required by Charter to fix and establish the compensation for elected officials, at least thirty (30) days before the deadline for the filing of nominating petitions for election to such offices; and WHERE..9S, the deadline for the filing of nominating petitions for the Council-at- Large positions is the 15`h day of June 2011; and WHEREAS, it is necessary for this Council to adopt legislation with an effective date at least thirty (30) days prior to said nomination petitions deadline, or, to-wit: on or before May 15, 2011 in order to comply with the requirements of the Charter of the City of North Olmsted, at~d WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to provide for compensation for the position of Council-at-Large for the years 2012 through 2015 by reducing the compensation by 5% from the 20l 1 rate of pay. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the compensation for the office of Council-at-Large for the period commencing January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2015 shall be as follows: Effective January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2012 - $12,655.90 Effective January 1, 20li through December 31, 2013 - $12,655.90 Effective January 1, 2014 through December 31, 2014 - $12,655.90 Effective January 1, 2015 through December 31, 2015 - $12,655.90 SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
