CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0.2011-13 <br />BY: :Mayor Kennedy <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND RE-ESTABLISHING CHAPTER 147 <br />OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE ENTITLED "BOARD OF BUILDING <br />CODE APPEALS" IN ORDER TO CREATE THE POSITION OF VICE <br />CHAIRMAN AND TO ELIMINATE THE POSITION OF SECRETARY TO <br />THE BOARD, AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, for the purpose of efficiency and to ensure the smooth operation of business <br />before the Board, it is the recommendation of the Administration that the Board of Building <br />Code Appeals be permitted to create the position of Vice Chairman to act in the absence of the <br />Chairman; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Administration that the position of a <br />Secretary as elected from among the members also be abolished, as such services are provided <br />by the Clerk of Commissions; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council, consistent with the recommendations of the <br />Administration, to create the position of Vice Chairman and to eliminate the position of Board- <br />elected secretary. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That Chapter 147 "Board of Building Code Appeals" which presently <br />reads in its entirety as set forth in Exhibit A, which is attached to this Ordinance and <br />incorporated by reference as if fully rewritten herein, shall be amended and, as amended, shall <br />read in its entirety as set forth in Exhibit B, which is likewise attached to this Ordinance and <br />likewise incorporated by reference as if fully rewritten herein. <br />SECTION 2: That any ordinance, or part of ordinance, in conflict or inconsistent with <br />this Ordinance, is, to the extent of any such conflict or inconsistency, repealed.
