CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0.2011 - 16 <br />iY: Mayor Kennedy <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND RE-ESTABLISHING CHAPTER 13 7 <br />OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE ENTITLED "DEPARTMENT OF LAW" <br />IN ORDER TO PROVIDE FOR THE RE-ORGANIZATION THEREOF. <br />WHEREAS, on May 4, 2010, the electors of the City of North Olmsted approved Issue <br />34 to amend the Charter of the City of North Olmsted, whereby all departments and divisions <br />there under, with the exception of the Departments of Law and Finance, are to be established by <br />the Council via ordinance; and <br />WHEREAS, in August of 2010, all Departments with the exception of Law and Finance <br />were re-organized; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Finance was reorganized in September of 2010; and <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Law has analyzed the operations and structure of the <br />department and has determined that re-organization, in such fashion as all other Departments <br />were re-organized in 2010, is in order; and <br />WHEREAS, consistent with the recommendation of the Director of Law and in order to <br />implement the staffing charts as has been done in all other Departments, it is the desire of this <br />Council to reorganize the Department of Law by amending Chapter 137 of the Administrative <br />Code. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That Chapter 137 "Department of Law," which presently reads in its <br />entirety as set forth in Exhibit A, which is attached to this Ordinance and incorporated by <br />reference as if fully rewritten herein, shall be amended and, as amended, shall read in its entirety <br />as set forth in Exhibit B, which is likewise attached to this Ordinance and likewise incorporated <br />by reference as if fully rewritten herein. <br />SECTION 2: That any ordinance, or part of ordinance, in conflict or inconsistent with <br />this Ordinance, is, to the extent of any such conflict or inconsistency, repealed. Conflicting or <br />inconsistent provisions of any Ordinance shall be corrected at re-codification. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the <br />earliest period allowed by law. <br />
