CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0.2011 - 76 <br />BY: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOLUTION DISPENSING WITH THE RFP PROCESS AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A ONE YEAR <br />CONTRACT WITHANDREW J. FUTEY, LLC. (DBA ANDREW J. FUTEY <br />& ASSOCIATES) FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING GRANT <br />CONSULTING SERVICES TO THE CITY. <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor believes that professional assistance is necessary in its pursuit <br />of federal and state funds for the construction of, among other things, the Waste Water <br />Treatment Plant and Collection System improvements and various street, right of way and <br />bridge construction and renovation projects; and <br />WHEREAS, Andrew J. Futey has 20 years of professional experience in successfully <br />advocating on behalf of clients before state and federal governments; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Mayor that City procure for a period of <br />one year the consulting services of Mr. Futey; and <br />WHEREAS, it is accordingly the desire of this Council, acting upon the <br />recommendation of the Mayor, to dispense with the RFP/RFQ process and authorize the <br />Mayor to enter into a one year contract with Andrew J. Futey, LLC. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to enter into a one year <br />contract with Andrew J. Futey, LLC., to provide grant procurement, public policy and <br />government relations consulting services before both the state and federal governments. Said <br />contract shall be in substantially the same form and substance as the contract attached hereto <br />as Exhibit A, with only such changes thereto as are not substantially adverse to the City and <br />which are approved by the Director of Law. The character of any such changes as not being <br />substantially adverse to the City shall be evidenced conclusively by the execution of the <br />agreement by the Mayor and the approval of the agreement by the Director of Law. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and <br />after the earliest period allowed by law. <br />
