CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0.2011 - 113 <br />By: Mayor Kevin M. Kennedy <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT A FIVE <br />THOUSAND DOLLAR GRANT FROM SUNNYSIDE TOYOTA FOR THE <br />PURCHASE OF PLAYGROUND AND OTHER PUBLIC USE EQUIPMENT <br />AT BARYON BRADLEY PARK, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Sunnyside Toyota has extended to the City of North Olmsted a $5,000.00 <br />grant opportunity for the purpose of acquiring needed park benches at the playground area of <br />Barton Bradley Park; and <br />WHEREAS, Barton Bradley currently lacks seating opportunities and, after review by <br />the administration, it is recommended that benches and related playground equipment would <br />well serve the community at Barton Bradley; and <br />WHEREAS, the grant requires no local match of funds; and <br />WHEREAS, it is accordingly the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to Accept <br />a $5,000.00 grant from Sunnyside Toyota. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That this Council does hereby authorize the Mayor to accept the grant of <br />$5,000.00 from Sunnyside Toyota and to execute a contract and any and all other necessary <br />papers required for the same. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety, and welfare, and for the <br />further reason it is necessary that this legislation go into effect immediately in order to accept <br />funds currently made available and awaiting deposit, and further, provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of the Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: 9 ~ ~ ~ _~_~ l 1 <br />ATT T: <br />~ ~ <br />MARIE GALLO <br />Clerk of Council <br />First Reading.• t ~}-~ <br />Second Reading: _ i~~ „~ ~; r~ <br />Third Reading.• ' ~ t <br />Committee: ,u~~, ~ ~- , <br />„~~.--~ <br />ANE K.
