Ordinance No. 2011- <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Finance be and she hereby is authorized to request <br />proposals from certified public accountants to provide GAAP conversion assistance services in <br />connection with the preparation of the 2011 CAFR, and also, under various requested alternates, <br />for either options or extended contracts for the years 2012 and 2013, in accordance with the RFP <br />prepared by the Director of Finance. <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized, upon approval of the Board <br />of Control, to enter into an agreement with the professional person or firm selected in the RFP <br />process. Said agreement shall provide for the requested services to be rendered by the selected <br />professional for the preparation of the 2011 CAFR and also, in accordance with the alternate <br />selected by the Board of Control, for either options or extended contracts for the years 2012 and <br />2013, and shall, in addition, provide for any such contract options to be exercised on behalf of <br />the City by the Board of Control upon the recommendation of the Director of Finance. Said <br />agreement shall further be in a form and substance that is not substantially adverse to the City <br />and which is approved by the Director of Law. The character of any such changes as not being <br />substantially adverse to the City shall be evidenced conclusively by the execution of the <br />agreement by the Mayor and the approval of the agreement by the Director of Law. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare, of this <br />City and for the further reason that it is necessary that this legislation go in effect so that the 2011 <br />CAFR may be timely prepared and implemented; and further provided it receives the affirmative <br />vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: ~!'-l ' - ~ ~~~ l i <br />ATTEST: <br />0 <br />arie Gallo <br />Clerk of Council <br />First Reading: ~ ~ j ~ <br />Second Reading: ~ <br />Third Reading.• ~ - r~Ul e <br />Committee: ~~,~~~ <br />Duane Limpert <br />President of Council <br />APPROVED: j~ll_~- ~,~2%~ l <br />APPROVED AS TO LEGAL FORM.• <br />::.i '~- . <br />/s/Michael R.
