CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2011-125 <br />BY: Mayor Kennedy <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND ESTABLISHING RATES OF COMPENSATION FOR VARIOUS ADMINISTRATIVE <br />AND LEGISLATIVE PERSONNEL FOR THE YEAR 2011 BY AMENDING SECTION 6 TO ADD THE POSITION OF <br />ASSISTANT BUILDING COMMISSIONER AND ADJUSTING THE MINIMUM PAY RANGE FOR SAID POSITION; <br />AMENDING SECTION 7 TO ADD THE POSITION OF ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT-MAINTENANCE AND <br />ADDITIONALLY RETITLING THE ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT POSITION TO ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT <br />COLLECTIONS /PLANT; AMENDING SECTION 15 TO PROHIBIT VACATION SELL BACK FOR CASH; ELIMINATING <br />SECTION 16, ATTENDANCE BONUS DAYS; AMENDING CURRENT SECTION 17 (HEREINAFTER SECTION 16) <br />BOOT ALLOWANCE TO ADD POSITIONS; AND OTHERWISE RESTATING THE COMPENSATION RATES AND <br />DESCRIPTIONS FOR VARIOUS ADMINISTRATIVE AND LEGISLATIVE PERSONNEL FOR THE YEARS 2011 AND <br />2012, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, this Council has determined that the Division of Building is in need of an Assistant Building Commissioner <br />due to increased work in that division and organizational restructuring that requires an additional supervisory type <br />position; <br />WHEREAS, this Council has determined that. the Division of WasteVVater is in need of an Assistant Superintendent- <br />Maintenance due to increased work in that division and organizational restructuring that requires an additional <br />supervisory-type position and the retitling to more specifically define the role of the other Assistant Superintendents; <br />WHEREAS, it is also the desire of this Council to establish the 2012 range of compensation and benefits for the City's <br />non-elected, non-bargaining unit employees that reflect no increases in the salary ranges for the year 2012 calendar <br />year; <br />WHEREAS, given the financial constraints imposed upon the City, it is necessary to adjust various benefits for <br />employees. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF <br />CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1: That the following salary ranges are hereby established for legislative employees for the office of <br />Council. The salaries in this Section shall be determined by City Council as appropriate. <br />(BW =Biweekly; PH =Per Hour) <br />TO TO PaY <br />A. Office of Council FROM 2011 2012 Type <br />1. President of Council (established by separate Ordinance 2008-142, through 2013) <br />2. Council-At-Large Members (established by separate Ordinance 2006-192, through 2011) <br />3. Ward Council Members (established by separate Ordinance 2008-143, through 2013) <br />4. Clerk of Council 1,576.92 2,153.85 BW <br />5. Temporary Clerk of Council shall receive $15 PH per meeting and not less than $25 per meeting. <br />Section 2: That the following salary ranges are hereby established for employees of the Department of Law.
