CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0.2011 - 135 <br />By: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SAFETY <br />TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CUYAHOGA COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH'S <br />ASSET TRANSFER PROGRAM IN ORDER TO PROVIDE FOR $3, 935. SS IN <br />SUPPLIES FOR PREVENTION OF DISEASE KITS; AND FURTHER <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT THE ASSET TRANSFER AND <br />TO EXECUTE ANAGREEMENT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted, Director of Public Safety, has access to <br />resources worth $3,935.55 through the Cuyahoga County Board of Health (CCBH) to provide <br />for materials contained in Prevention of Disease (POD) kits used for educational clinics; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public Safety to <br />participate in CCDH asset transfer program, and to further authorize the Mayor to accept and/or <br />enter into necessary agreements to accept the POD kit supplies. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That this Council does hereby authorize the Director of Public Safety to <br />participate in CCDH program for POD kits supply materials and asset transfer program; and does <br />further authorize the Mayor to accept the asset transfer and execute a contract if necessary. <br />SECTION 2: 'That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety, and welfare, and for the <br />further reason it is necessary that this legislation go into effect immediately in order that the City <br />may make a timely application for participation; and further, provided it receives the affirmative <br />vote of two-thirds of all members of the Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: __~j~~ ~ <br />ATTE T: ~ ~~ <br />MA IE GALLO <br />Clerk of Council <br />First Reading.• ~ ~ l (Q~/, /gyp J 7 <br />Second Reading: -~~`~~.-~~ <br />Third Reading: ~~~ <br />Committee.• ,~£ ~~ <br />f _~. <br />_~ .- 2_ --r -a_ <br />DUANE K LIMPERT <br />President of Council <br />APPROVED ~~(~ / ( __ <br />"7 - - <br />MAYOR KEVIN M.
