1363.07 BUILDING CODE 108 <br />(1) Residential. To effect the purposes of this section, the owner or <br />operator of the premises shall use, maintain or refrain from using the <br />premises and all buildings thereon, as the case may be, as follows: <br />A. Storage of commercial and industrial equipment, materials or <br />waste. Equipment, materials or waste relating to commercial or <br />industrial uses shall not be stored or used unless pernutted under <br />the Zoning Code for the premises. <br />B. Storage of other equipment, materials or waste. Other equipment <br />and materials, excluding waste in trash containers and receptacles <br />as provided for in F. below, not of a commercial or industrial <br />nature, shall be stored only in enclosed buildings or stacked or <br />arranged in an orderly fashion in rear yard areas not visible from <br />the public right of way. <br />C. Parking and storage of vehicles. Parking and/or storage of <br />semi-tractor trailers, trucks or commercial or industrial vehicles, <br />as defined in Section 1161.07 of the Codified Ordinances, shall <br />be prohibited on one and two-family dwelling unit property. All <br />vehicles which are junk vehicles as defined in Section 521.08 of <br />the Codified Ordinances, or which do not have current license <br />plates, shall be stored in a completely enclosed, authorized or <br />permitted building for such lot or premises, or kept under covers <br />that have been specially designed for cars. Recreational vehicles, <br />as defined in Section 1135.02(h) of the Codified Ordinances, <br />shall not be parked or stored on one or two-family dwelling unit <br />property, except as pernutted in Section 1135.02(h) of the <br />Codified Ordinances, and if covered, must be kept under covers <br />that have been specially designed for recreational vehicles. No <br />vehicles shall be parked on the lawn or grass. <br />D. Landscaping. Lawns, grass or grass-like ground coverings, <br />hedges and bushes shall be trimmed and kept from becoming <br />overgrown and unsightly where exposed to the public view and <br />where the same constitute a blighting factor depreciating <br />adjoining property and impairing the good residential character of <br />the immediate neighborhood. Grass in lawns, other ground <br />cover, or weeds permitted to grow in excess of six inches in <br />height, in violation of Section 949.03 of the Codified Ordinances, <br />shall be presumed to be a nuisance. Rubbish, particularly yard <br />clippings, leaves, including tree branches, shrubbery or other <br />similar trimmings, shall not be stored, placed or permitted to <br />accumulate on the tree lawn or within the right of way, except in <br />conjunction with scheduled municipal service and in accordance <br />with removal regulations. <br />E. Signs. All signs permitted by reason of other regulations or as a <br />lawful nonconforming use shall be maintained in good repair and <br />printed matter, pictures or illustrations contained thereon shall be <br />completely maintained or when no longer in use, completely <br />removed. <br />2010 Replacement
