CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 2012-48 BY: Mayor Kennedy AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE RATES OF COMPENSATION FOR VARIOUS ADMINISTRATIVE AND LEGISLATIVE PERSONNEL FOR THE YEAR 2012 IN ORDER TO ESTABLISH RATES OF COMPENSATION FOR EMPLOYEES OF THE NEWLY-CREATED MAYOR'S COURT DIVISION WITHIN THE MAYOR'S OFFICE; AND OTHERWISE RESTATE THE COMPENSATION RATES AND DESCRIPTIONS FOR VARIOUS ADMINISTRATIVE AND LEGISLATIVE PERSONNEL FOR THE YEAR 2012, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted has signed an Executive Order establishing and initiating a Mayor's Court Division; WHEREAS, this Council has determined that this new division will need a clerk of court, an assistant clerk of court and a court magistrate in order to meet the operational needs of the division; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: Section 1: That the following salary ranges are hereby established for legislative employees for the office of Council The salaries in this Section shall be determined by City Council as appropriate. (BW - Biweekly, PH - Per Hour) To PaY A. Office of Council FROM 2011 2012 Type 1. President of Council (established by separate Ordinance 2008-142, through 2013) 2. Councit-At-Large Members (established by separate Ordinance 2006-192, through 2011) 3. Ward Council Members (established by separate Ordinance 2008-143, through 2013) 4. Clerk of Council 1,576.92 2,153.85 BW 5. Temporary Clerk of Council shall receive $15 PH per meeting and not less than $25 per meeting. Section 2: That the following salary ranges are hereby established for employees of the Department of Law. The salaries in this Section shall be determined bv the Director of Law as appropriate. To PaY A. Department of Law FROM 2011 2012 Type 1. Director of Law (Part-Time) (established by separate Ordinance 2008-144, through 2013) 2.
