CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2012 - 58 <br />By: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO PURCHASE FOR <br />DIVISION OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY LISE, VARIOIIS <br />COMPUTERS, LICENSES AND SERVERS, ALL THROUGH THE STATE <br />PURCHASE PROGRAM; AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR <br />TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE SUCH <br />PURCHASE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Human Resources has recommended to this Council that the <br />City purchase fifty-one (51) computer workstations; thirty-five (35) Office 2010 Licenses; one <br />(1) Munis Server and one (1) server for Tyler Content Management; and <br />WHEREAS, said equipment is essential to the continued efficient operation of the <br />Administration; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends that such equipment be purchased through the State <br />Purchase Program; and <br />WHEREAS, the purchase of said equipment, although in excess of Twenty-Five <br />Thousand Dollars ($25,000), is not legally required by the City Charter to be competitively bid <br />locally, because said item is being purchased through the State Purchase Program, which is <br />deemed under the City Charter to meet the Charter requirements for competitive bidding; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to purchase the <br />hereinbefore referenced computer equipment through the State Purchase Program, and further to <br />authorize the Mayor to execute all documents necessary to effectuate said purchase. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to purchase, through the <br />State Purchasing Program, which was established by R.C. §125.04 and which the City is <br />authorized to participate in pursuant to Ordinance No. 87-6 and the City Charter: <br />(a) Fifty-one (51) computer workstations ($35,200.20); <br />(b) Thirty-five (35) Office 2010 Licenses ($11,200.00); <br />(c) One (1) Munis Server ($15,652.70); and <br />(d) One (1) server for Tyler Content Management ($11,044.24).
