Consideration shall be given to
the length and steepness of the slope, soil type, upslope drainage area,
groundwater conditions, and slope stabilization.
(11) Stabilization of outfalls and channels. Outfalls and construction or
modified channels shall be designed and constructed to withstand the
expected velocity of flow from a post-development, ten year frequency
storm without eroding. Velocitv dissination devices shall be nlaced at
discharLye locations and along the length of anv outfall channel to
provide non-erosive velocitv from the structure to a water cnurce -.n
(12) Storm sewer and other draina?e outlets All storm sewers, footer drains,
roof gutter drains and all other drains will be outletted at the bottom of the
slope. The slope below the outlet will be able to control the water being
drained through the storm sewer or other drains without causing erosion of
the stream or channel banks or channel bottom. If required due to the
velocity of the storm water from the outlet, rock channel protection shall
be placed for erosion control.
Storm Water Management and Urban
(13) Establishment of ermanent ve etation. A permanent vegetation cover
shall be established on denuded areas not otherwise permanently
stabilized.
Permanent vegetation shall not be considered established until ground
cover is achieved which, in the opinion of the City Engineer, provides
adequate cover and is mature enough to control soil erosion satisfactorily
and to survive adverse weather conditions.
(14) Disposition of temporarv practices. All temporary and pertnanent erosion
and sediment control practices shall be disposed of within thirty (30) days
after final site stabilization is achieved or after the temporary practices are
no longer needed, unless otherwise authorized by the Engineering
Division.
