CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2012 - 79 <br />BY: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOL UTION APPROVING OF AND A UTHORIZING THE <br />MAYOR TO ENTER INTO COLLECTIVE BARGAINING <br />AGREEMENTS WITH THE FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE <br />("FOP")/ OHIO LABOR COUNCIL, FOR THE POLICE <br />OFFICERS AND CORRECTIONS OFFICERS, FOR THE <br />PERIOD JANUARY 1, 2012, THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2014, <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the collective bargaining agreements negotiated by and between <br />the Administration and the Fraternal Order of Police ("FOP")/Ohio Labor Council, for the <br />Police Officers and Corrections Officers, for the period January 1, 2012, through December <br />31, 2014, copies of which are on file in the office of the Director of Human Resources, are <br />hereby approved and the Mayor is authorized to execute the said agreements. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare, of <br />this City and for the further reason that this Resolution is required to be immediately effective <br />to implement new protocols / pay standards within the agreement; and further provided it <br />receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and <br />be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: ? 7 ,Dol ? <br />First Reading.• <br />Second Reading: <br />Third Reading: <br />Committee: P? <br />_ r a-o1 arw? <br />ATTESP <br />; <br />? <br />MARIE GALLO <br />Clerk of Council <br />APPROVED: q/ <br />_ ? ,--'"? _ <br />; ? <br />YO KEVIN M.??KENNEDY <br />T)'UANE K.
