CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2012 - 109 <br />BY: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE MAYOR TQ SOLICIT BIDS <br />FOR THE RENTAL OF GOLF CARTS AND OTHER VEHICLES <br />FOR SPRINGVALE, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER <br />INTO A CONTRACT FOR SAID VEHICLE RENTALS, SUBJECT TO <br />APPROVAL BY THE BOARD OF CONTROL, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, specifications for the rental of golf carts, utility carts and / or a <br />utility/beverage cart for Springvale Golf Course have been prepared and are on file in the <br />Office of Mayor; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to advertise for <br />bids for the rental of said vehicles for use at Springvale, and to authorize the Mayor, upon <br />approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a Contract with the lowest and best bidder. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids <br />for the rental of golf carts, utility carts and / or a utility/beverage cart for Springvale Golf <br />Course in accordance with specifications now on file in his office, and further that, upon <br />approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract <br />and execute the same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted with the lowest and best <br />bidder. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and <br />welfare, and for the reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect <br />immediately so that said vehicle rentals are available for use at the start of the 2013 golf <br />season at Springvale, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of <br />all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage <br />and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: ??41 ?.t& J,? <br />First Reading: d ?
