CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2012 - 126 <br />By: Mayar Kennedy <br />A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE MA YOR TO ENTER INTO AN <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE BALDWIN GROUP, INC. TO ACQUIRE <br />SOFTWARE FOR UTILIZATION IN THE CLERK OF COURT'S OFFICE <br />FOR THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED MAYOR'S COURT, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted in 2012 established the City of North Olmsted <br />Mayor's Court; and <br />WHEREAS, newly appointed Clerk of Court Kathi Cole has experience and is <br />familiar with online docketing and ticket payment software and has recommended that the <br />City proceed with The Baldwin Group, Inc. as its software provider in order to have the <br />Mayor's Court in operation on January 1, 2013; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to authorize the Mayor to enter into an Agreement with <br />The Baldwin Group, Inc. in order to acquire the necessary software to efficiently operate the City <br />of North Olmsted Mayor's Court in 2013 and beyond. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to enter into an Agreement <br />with The Baldwin Group, Inc. to purchase software for the Mayor's Court, a copy of which <br />Agreement is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by reference. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and further <br />far the reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect immediately to ensure that the <br />Mayor's Court is in operation on January 1, 2013 with staff that are fully trained and familiar in <br />The Baldwin Group, Inc. software; and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage <br />and approval by the Mayor.
