CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2012 - 126 By: Mayar Kennedy A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE MA YOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE BALDWIN GROUP, INC. TO ACQUIRE SOFTWARE FOR UTILIZATION IN THE CLERK OF COURT'S OFFICE FOR THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED MAYOR'S COURT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted in 2012 established the City of North Olmsted Mayor's Court; and WHEREAS, newly appointed Clerk of Court Kathi Cole has experience and is familiar with online docketing and ticket payment software and has recommended that the City proceed with The Baldwin Group, Inc. as its software provider in order to have the Mayor's Court in operation on January 1, 2013; and WHEREAS, this Council desires to authorize the Mayor to enter into an Agreement with The Baldwin Group, Inc. in order to acquire the necessary software to efficiently operate the City of North Olmsted Mayor's Court in 2013 and beyond. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to enter into an Agreement with The Baldwin Group, Inc. to purchase software for the Mayor's Court, a copy of which Agreement is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by reference. SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and further far the reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect immediately to ensure that the Mayor's Court is in operation on January 1, 2013 with staff that are fully trained and familiar in The Baldwin Group, Inc. software; and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two- thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
