CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2013-21 <br />BY: THE MAYOR AND THE ENTIRE CITY COUNCIL <br />A RESOLUTION HONORING DUANE K. LIMPERT FOR HIS YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />WHEREAS, Duane Keith Limpert was born on March 21, 1952 to Ruth and Dewey Limpert. Duane <br />was raised in the City of North Olmsted and takes great pride in the fact that both his parents' families settled <br />here in the early 1860's; and <br />WHEREAS, Duane has a total of 14 years of dedicated public service served on North Olmsted City <br />Council. He served as a Ward 1 Councilman from 1994 through 2004 and then as President of City Council <br />from January 1, 2010 through December 31, 2012. During his career with the City of North Olmsted, he also <br />served as the Director of Public Safety and the Director of Public Service <br />WHEREAS, Duane is a member of the 1970 graduating class of North Olmsted High School. Duane <br />graduated from Ashland University, where he majored in Management, Marketing and Finance, with a minor in <br />Accounting; and <br />WHEREAS, Duane is a 32 degree Mason and an active member of the A1 Koran Shrine, Kiwanis and <br />the Forest Park Homeowner's Association to name a few. Duane was an Eagle Scout in Troop 664, and still <br />remains very involved in Scouting to this day; and <br />WHEREAS, Duane and his wife, Kathi, have been married for almost 40 years. They have three sons: <br />Doug (Laura), Jon (Jenny) and Duane (Dawn). Duane and Kathi have four grandchildren as well: Lauren, <br />Emme, Mason, and Reagen. They are expecting their fifth grandchild in June; and <br />WHEREAS, Duane should be recognized for his contribution to the City of North Olmsted and the <br />active role he plays in multiple organizations. He was a committed city employee and public figure who <br />continues to show his devotion to the City of North Olmsted by continuing to be an active member of the <br />community. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That this Council and City Administration extend best wishes and heartiest thanks to <br />Duane K. Limpert on his years of dedication and service to the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That the Clerk of Council be, and she is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this <br />Resolution to Duane K.
