NextPage LivePublish <br />CHAPTER 905 <br />Driveways <br />?. <br />905.01 Condominium complexes. <br />905.02, Apartment houses, commercial buildings, etc. <br />905.03 Deposit, deduction and refund. <br />905.99 Penalty. <br />CROSS REFERENCES <br />Parking in front of - see TRAF. 351.03 <br />Sidewalks over driveways - see S.U. & P.S. 903.02 <br />905.01 CONDOMINIUM COMPLEXES. <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />All driveways and service roads located on private property within condominium complexes and <br />which axe either owned in common or are prospectively to be owned in common by condominium <br />owners shall be constructed with a minimum of seven inches in thickness of reinforced concrete <br />pavement meeting the following specifications: Class C concrete; pour with four-inch slump; use <br />membrane sealer for curing; two-inch leveling course and fully compacted sub-base; steel reinforcing <br />mesh with fifty-eight pound steel per 100 square feet; concrete strength to exceed 4,000 p.s.i. after <br />twenty-eight days. <br />(Ord. 96-27. Passed 3-5-96.) <br />*AW 905.02 APARTMENT HOUSES, COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS, ETC. <br />All driveways, service roads, parking areas and unloading areas located on private property serving <br />apartment houses, retail buildings, office buildings, service buildings, industrial buildings, and all <br />buildings other than single or two-family buildings shall be constructed according to plans approved by <br />the City Engineer. The grading shall be such that surface drainage onto the public right of way from the <br />development is minimized. The pavement thickness and type shall be adequate for the traffic entering <br />the site with respect to load bearing capacity and maintenance such that the condition of the pavement <br />minimizes interference of vehicles entering the site from the public street. <br />(Ord. 96-27. Passed 3-5-96.) <br />905.03 DEPOSIT, DEDUCTION AND REFUND. <br />(a) A deposit shall be posted with the City by the applicant for the review of the plan for all <br />driveways, roads and paved areas provided for in Sections 905.01 and 905.02. Such deposit shall be <br />made by the applicant prior to any review by the Engineering Department, and the required deposit shall <br />be two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) per acre of lot size for additions to buildings or for alterations in <br />the site layout of paved areas. Plan review activities shall include review of site layout plans, grading <br />plans and traffic engineering reports or studies. <br />The cost of review shall be calculated on the basis of sixty dollars ($60.00) for each hour spent by the <br />City Engineer or Assistant City Engineer in such review. <br />If the deposit is more than the actual cost, the remainder shall be refunded when the project is <br />completed, if the project is rejected by the City or withdrawn by the developer.
