CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2013 - 45 <br />By: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE MA YOR TD ENTER INTO A <br />CONTRACT WITH WEST ROOFING SYSTEMS, INC. TO PROVIDE <br />CONSTRUCTION SERVICES FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE NORTH <br />OLMSTED SENIOR CENTER AND COMMUNITY CABIN ROOF <br />THROUGH THE STATE PURCHASE PROGRAM; AND FURTHER <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS <br />NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE SUCH PURCHASE, AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Planning and Development has recommended to this <br />Council that the City replace the roof on the North Olmsted Senior Center and Community <br />Cabin; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends that a contract be entered into with West Roofing <br />Systems, Inc. through the State Purchase Program; and <br />WHEREAS, the purchase of said replacement roof is $112,500.00 and is not legally <br />required by the City Charter to be competitively bid where, as here, acquisition is through the <br />? State Purchase Program; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to purchase the <br />hereinbefore referenced roof construction services through the State Purchase Program, and <br />further to authorize the Mayor to execute all documents necessary to effectuate said purchase. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to purchase through the <br />State Purchasing Program construction services and materials from West Roofing Systems, Inc., <br />which program was established by R.C. §125.04 and which the City is authorized to participate <br />in pursuant to Ordinance No. 87-6 and the City Charter. <br />SECTION 2: The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute any contract and/or other <br />appropriate documents required by the authorized vendor(s) or the State of Ohio. Any such <br />contract(s) executed by the Mayor shall be in a form and substance consistent with the provisions <br />of this Resolution and approved by the Director of Law. <br />SECTION 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the <br />? further reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect immediately to order to <br />?
