CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2013 - 47 <br />BY: Mayor Kennedy, President Jones and all Members of Council <br />A RESOL UTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT A <br />DONATION OF EQUIPMENT, VALUED AT $9,479.50 FROM THE <br />NORTH' OLMSTED SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION FOR USE IN <br />MAINTAINING BASEBALL FIELDS AT NORTH OLMSTED PARK, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />? <br />WHEREAS, the North Olmsted Softball Association has generously offered to donate a <br />new Toro mower to the City of North Olmsted for use in maintaining the baseball fields at the <br />North Olmsted Park; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor requests that Council recognize and accept this generous <br />donation, pursuant to Section 131.06 of the Administrative Code, and join in his expression of <br />gratitude on behalf of the City and the entire community; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to authorize the Mayor to accept the donation of <br />equipment for use at the North Olmsted Park, with the sincerest appreciation of Council. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO. <br />SECTION 1: That the City of North Olmsted authorizes the Mayor to accept the <br />donation of a Toro mower valued at $9,479.50 from The North Olmsted Softball Association for <br />use at North Olmsted Park. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and <br />further for the reason that it is necessary that this Ordinance go into effect immediately due to <br />the onset of grass cutting season and the need for such equipment; further provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in <br />force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: y Y( U] ? i `?' ?,.3 <br />ATT T: <br />l ?? vf??a) <br />MARIE GALLO <br />Clerk of Council <br />APPROVED: 6?
