CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 2013 - 79 BY: Mayor Kennedy and Councilman Schumann AN ORDINANCE DESIGNA TING THE KNIGHT-BIDD ULPH HO USE, LOCATED AT 4302 PORTER ROAD, AS AN OFFICIAL NORTH OLMSTED LANDMARK, AS AMENDED. WHEREAS, the Landmarks Commission of the City of North Olmsted has proposed, pursuant to Article 7, Section 6 of the Cliarter and Code Section 165.05, to designate the Knight- Biddulph House, located at 4302 Porter Road, as an official Landmark within the City of North Olmsted; and WHEREAS, the Landmarks Commission has performed historical research, assembled documentation and photographs, prepared extensive findings, reports and conducted hearings required by Code Section 165.05(b) in order to determine and recommend Landmark designation for the Knight-Biddulph House, which final report is incorporated herein by reference; and WHEREAS, the North Olrnsted Planning and Design Commission has, pursuant to Code Section 165.05(b)(5), affirmatively concurred with the proposal by Landmarks Commission to formally designate the Knight-Biddu(ph House as a Landmark; and WHEREAS, the cuYrent owner of the Knight-Biddulph House was served with notification of the Proposal by aiid hearing before the Landmarks Commission pursuant to Code Section 165.05(b)(6) and consented with respect to Landmark designation; and WHEREAS, this Council tinds and approves the Proposal by Landmarks Commission, both as to substance and procedure, pursuant to Code Section 165.05(b)(9) and further concurs with tne observations and recognition bestowed upon the Knight-Biddulph House as well as the descendants, many of whom continue to reside in and enrich the North Olmsted communitv; and WHEREAS, it is the desit•e of this Council, consistent with the recommendation of the Landmarks Commission, to approve the designation of the Knight-Biddulph House as an official North Oltnsted Landmark pui-suant to Code Section 165.05(b)(9) and joins with the Landmarks Commission in bestowing a plaque upon the property in recognition. NOW THEREFORE, BE l'C 012llAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF 'CHE CITY OF NORT'H OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That this Council does hereby accept and agree with the proposal by the Landmarks Commission and therefor:, does hereby approve and designate the Freefge Knight- Biddulph Home, located at 4302 Porter Road, as an official Landmark of the City of North Olmsted, pursuant to North Olmsted Codified Section 165.05(b)(9). This Council does hereby adopt and incorporate by reierence the Proposal report as prepared and submitted by Landmarks
