CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2013 - 92 <br />By: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SER VICE TO <br />ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF 5,000 TONS OF ASPHALT <br />MATERIALS FOR VARIOUS SERVICE DEPARTMENT NEEDS THROUGHOUT <br />THE CITY AS DETAILED IN THE SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE, FURTHER <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE <br />LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER(S) TO PURCHASE SAID MATERIALS, AFTER <br />BOARD OF CONTROL APPROVAL. <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Public Service has advised this Council that it is necessary to <br />purchase 5,000 tons of asphalt materials for various Service Department needs throughout the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the necessary specifications for said asphalt materials, as prepared under the <br />direction of the Service Department of the City of North Olmsted, are on file in the Service Director's <br />Office; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public Service to <br />advertise for bids for 5,000 tons of asphalt materials for various Service Department needs throughout <br />the City, and to further authorize the Mayor to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder(s) to <br />purchase said materials, after Board of Control approval. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to advertise for <br />bids for 5,000 tons of asphalt materials for various Service Department needs throughout the City in <br />accordance with the specificatious now on file in the Service Director's Office, and further that, upon <br />approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor is authorized to enter into a contract and execute the same <br />on behalf of the City of North OI?nsted with the lowest and best bidder(s). <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest <br />period allowed by law. <br />PASSED: l q, gol? <br />First Reading: <br />Second Reading: <br />Third Reading: ? // ? <br />Committee: 1`)y??tou_ <br />ATTEST: <br />n <br />/ ? <br />L/ ,G_".e_.-?... <br />?} <br />? .r <br />MARIE ALLO <br />Clerk of Council <br />NICOLE DAILEYJ <br />President of Counc
