CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2013-97 <br />By: Mayor Kevin Kennedy <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL FILE OF TI-E <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED BY PROVIDING FOR THE <br />INSTALLATION OF A"NO LEFI' TURN" (R-121-24) SIGN WITH <br />SUPPLEMENTARY LEGEND "7:00 A.M. TO 8:00 A.M. SCHOOL <br />DAYS, EXCEPT BUSES" AT TIIE INTERSEC'TION OF REVERE DRIVE <br />AND BUTTERNUT RIDGE ROAD FOR TRAFFIC TRAVELING IN A <br />NORTHERLY DIItECTION ON REVERE DRIVE AND TURNING WEST <br />ONTO BiJTTERN UT RIDGE ROAD, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, this Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the safety, health <br />and welfare of the citizens of the City of North Olmsted to install a"No Left Turn" sign at the <br />intersection of Revere Drive and Butternut Ridge Road for h-affic traveling in a northerly direction <br />on Revere Drive and turning west onto Butternut Ridge Road; for the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 <br />a m. school days, except buses; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council and Admiiustration to amend the Traffic <br />Control File to provide for the installation of said traffic control sign; and <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 305 of the Traffic Code provides for the maintenance of the <br />Traffic Control File, which said file can be amended only by ordinance. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE TI' ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Police Department be and the same is hereby authorized and <br />directed to amend the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted to indicate the installation <br />of a"No Left Turn" sign with supplementary legend "7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. School Days, <br />Except Buses," as aforesaid. <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and is hereby authorized and directed to cause said <br />sign to be installed in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance. <br />SECTION 3: That ordinance No. 94-108 as hereinbefore enacted is hereby repealed. <br />SECTION 4: That this ordinance is hereby declared an emergency measure necessary for <br />the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and provided it receives the affirmative <br />vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall go into immediate force and effect upon its <br />signing by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: IX A! ?
