BY: Mayor O' Grady <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 141.09 OF THE <br />ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, ENTITLED "ADMINISTRATIVE MOTOR <br />VEHICLE POOL" IN ORDER TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF MOTOR <br />VEHICLES IN THE ADMINISTRATIVE MOTOR VEHICLE POOL FROM <br />THREE (3) TO FDUR (4) AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, acting upon the recommendation of the Mayor, it is the desire of this <br />Council to amend Section 141.09 of the Administrative Code so as to increase the number of <br />motor vehicles in the Administrative Motor Vehicle Pool from three (3) to four (4); <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That Section 141.09 of Chapter 141 (Department of Public Service) of the <br />Administrative Code, which presently reads as follows: <br />"141.09 ADMINISTRATIVE MOTOR VEHICLE POOL. <br />(a) The Director of Public Service shall have the duty of establishing and maintaining an <br />Administrative Motor Vehicle Pool, which shall be under his direction and control. The pool <br />shall initially be comprised of the three (3) Service Department motor vehicles that previously <br />were assigned to the Mayor, the Director of Public Service and Public Safety for their exclusive <br />use. The Director of Public Service may, from time to time, replace the motor vehicles assigned <br />to the pool with other vehicles owned by the City, when necessary and in order to insure that the <br />vehicles in the Administrative Motor Vehicle Pool are of appropriate quality and service for the <br />City's administrative officials. <br />(b) The motor vehicles assigned to the Administrative Motor Vehicle Pool shall be <br />available for sign-out use by the Mayor and each of the City Directors. The Director of <br />Public Service shall establish rules and regulations for the use of vehicles assigned to the <br />Administrative Motor Vehicle Pool. Said rules shall include a provision that the Mayor and <br />any Director may sign out any of the three vehicles assigned to the pool, on an as needed <br />basis, for the purpose of conducting official City business during working hours, which shall <br />include driving to and from seminars. Said rules shall further include a provision that the <br />Mayor may take home overnight and over weekends, including holidays, the City vehicle <br />which the Director of Public Service assigns to the Mayor's use for the purpose of conducting <br />City business." <br />BE AMENDED, AND, AS AMENDED, SHALL READ AS FOLLOWS:
