? <br />A"V*? <br />? ?, <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006 -186 <br />BY: Mayor O'Grady <br />A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SER VICE <br />TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE SLOPED <br />ROOF ON FIRE STATION NO. 1; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE <br />MAYOR, SUBJECT TO AWARD BY THE BOARD OF CONTROL, TO <br />ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER, <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, plans and specifications for replacing the sloped roof at Fire Station No. 1 <br />are on file in the office of the City Engineer; and <br />WHEREAS, the said sloped roof needs to be replaced as soon as possible; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public Service to <br />advertise for bids, and, to further authorize the Mayor, upon award by the Board of Control, to <br />enter into a contract for the replacement of the sloped roof with the lowest and best bidder; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to <br />advertise for bids for replacing the sloped roof at Fire Station No. 1 in accordance with the plans <br />and specifications now on file in the office of the City Engineer; and that further, upon award by <br />the Board of Control, the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to enter into a contract with the <br />lowest and best bidder for said roof replacement. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />further reason that it is immediately necessary in order to protect the health and safety of fire <br />fighters to replace the roof at the earliest possible date, and further provided that it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately u on its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />?. l <br />PASSED: First Reading <br />Second Readin <br />Third Readin? <br />Committee: <br />ATLST: <br />l'BARBARA L.
