?,.. <br />. ?.. ? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006 - 181 <br />By: Mayor O'Grady and Council Member Barker <br />A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY LIFE <br />SERVICES TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND <br />FURNISHING OF NEW ADA RESTROOMS, PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT <br />AND PATHS AND OTHER SITE IMPROVEMENTS AT THE NORTH <br />OLMSTED PARK AS DETAILED IN THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br />ON FILE, FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, AFTER AWARD BY <br />THE BOARD OF CONTROL, TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT OR <br />CONTRACTS WITH THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER(S), AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City received $112,200.00 in CDBG funds for ADA improvements to <br />North Olmsted Park, which will include two new, family-friendly, ADA compliant restrooms; <br />ADA playground equipment for ages 2-5 years; connecting paths and site improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, plans and specifications for the said project have been prepared by <br />engineering firm Richard L. Bowen and Associates, and are on file in the City Engineer's Office; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the plans and specifications have been reviewed and approved by the Parks <br />and Recreation Commission and the CDBG Citizens Advisory Committee; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Community Life <br />Services to advertise for bids for construction of the said public improvements, and to further <br />authorize the Mayor to enter into a contract or contracts, following award by the Board of <br />Control, with the lowest and best bidder(s); <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Community Life Services be and he is hereby <br />authorized to advertise for bids for the construction of two new, family-friendly, ADA compliant <br />restrooms; ADA playground equipment for ages 2-5 years; connecting paths and site <br />improvements, all in accordance with the plans and specifications now on file in the City <br />Engineer's Office, and further that, upon award by the Board of Control, the Mayor is authorized <br />to enter into a contract or contracts and execute the same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted <br />with the lowest and best bidder(s).
