By: Mayor O'Grady <br />A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF <br />COMMUNITY LIFE SERVICES TO APPLY FOR A 2007 <br />FAMILY CAREGIVER SUPPORT PROGRAM GRANT FROM <br />THE WESTERN RESERVE AREA AGENCY ON AGING <br />(WRAA), AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO <br />ACCEPT THE GRANT, IF AWARDED, AND TO EXECUTE <br />ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE RECEIPT <br />OF THE GRANT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Community Life Services desires to apply for a One <br />Thousand Dollar ($1,000.00) Family Caregiver Support Program Grant from the Western Reserve <br />Area Agency on Aging (WRAA) for the year 2007; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Community Life <br />Services to apply for said grant, and to further authorize the Mayor to accept the grant, if <br />awarded, on behalf of the City and to execute all documents necessary to effectuate receipt of the <br />grant; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Community Services be and hereby is authorized to <br />apply for a Family Caregiver Support Program Grant from the Western Reserve Area Agency on <br />Aging (WRAA) for the year 2007. <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor be, and he hereby is, authorized, on behalf of the City of <br />North Olmsted, to accept the said grant, if awarded, and to execute all documents necessary to <br />effectuate receipt of the grant. <br />SECTION 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the <br />further reason that it is necessary that this legislation go into effect immediately in order to meet <br />the October 20, 2006 application deadline; and further provided that it receives the affirmative <br />vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon <br />its passage and approval by the Mayor.
