By: Mayor O'Grady A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY LIFE SERVICES TO APPLY FOR A 2007 FAMILY CAREGIVER SUPPORT PROGRAM GRANT FROM THE WESTERN RESERVE AREA AGENCY ON AGING (WRAA), AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT THE GRANT, IF AWARDED, AND TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE RECEIPT OF THE GRANT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Director of Community Life Services desires to apply for a One Thousand Dollar ($1,000.00) Family Caregiver Support Program Grant from the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging (WRAA) for the year 2007; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Community Life Services to apply for said grant, and to further authorize the Mayor to accept the grant, if awarded, on behalf of the City and to execute all documents necessary to effectuate receipt of the grant; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Director of Community Services be and hereby is authorized to apply for a Family Caregiver Support Program Grant from the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging (WRAA) for the year 2007. SECTION 2: That the Mayor be, and he hereby is, authorized, on behalf of the City of North Olmsted, to accept the said grant, if awarded, and to execute all documents necessary to effectuate receipt of the grant. SECTION 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the further reason that it is necessary that this legislation go into effect immediately in order to meet the October 20, 2006 application deadline; and further provided that it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
