. . .,. _ . ;., M ..-1w.r.?.a.:.. ?., , _ .... . . . ,._ , .,.. . . ....... .. <br />• The consultant will provide an inventory of programs and services as well as policies and <br />procedures which impact the ability of persons with disabilities to access City programs, <br />services and facilities. <br />• The consultant will make recommendations for changes to City programs, services, <br />policies and procedures so that programs, services and facilities comply with the ADA. <br />Project Description: <br />The Assessment of City services, programs, policies and procedures will be completed in <br />accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. <br />• The consultant will prepare an inventory of City services and programs as well as the <br />location of those services and programs. The consultant will consider any physical <br />barriers identified by the City's assessment of facilities and other infrastructure assets. <br />• The consultant will review current policies and procedures that govern programs, services <br />and facilities of the City. The consultant will review the policies and procedures to <br />determine if they do not or may not comply with the ADA. The policies and procedures <br />to be reviewed include but are not limited to: methods for requesting accommodation, <br />current types of accommodations, dissemination of information in an accessible <br />manner/format. <br />• The consultant will interview key staff and others with disabilities that use City <br />programs, services and facilities to gain community input. <br />• T'he consultant will provide recommendations for changes to City programs, services, <br />policies and procedures that enhance compliance with the ADA, identify any costs that <br />may be associated with the changes, and establish a schedule for making such changes <br />with appropriate prioritization. Such information will be provided in a preliminary report <br />submitted to the City for review with the consultant. <br />• Five (5) copies of the final report, in three-ring binders, shall be submitted to the City. <br />• T'he consultant will conduct an appropriate number of trauung sessions for City <br />employees concerning ADA requirements and City programs, services, policies and <br />procedures. <br />• The consultant or his representative sha11 be available to attend one (1) meeting for <br />presentations to the City's CDBG Citizens' Advisory Committee and City Council. <br />6. SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS <br />All proposals shall contain the following: <br />A. Project Team <br />Identify the project principal, the project manager, key staff and consultants. Include <br />a brief discussion of the consultant's qualifications and experience. <br />B. Related Experience <br />Describe relevant experiences with the project type described in this RFP docuxnent <br />and various services to be provided. <br />C. Project Details
