<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2006 -153 <br />BY: The Mayor and Entire City Council <br />AN ORDINANCE A UTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF <br />PUBLIC SERVICE TO REQUEST PROPOSALS FOR <br />CONSULTANT SERVICES FOR THE ANALYSIS OF THE <br />MUNICIPAL INFRASTRUCTURE AND FACILITIES FOR <br />CONFORMANCE TO THE AMERICANS WITH <br />DISABILITIES ACT (ADA); AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING <br />THE MAYOR, SUBEJCT TO APPROVAL OF THE BOARD <br />OF CONTROL, TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH <br />THE PERSON OR FIRM SELECTED IN THE RFP <br />PROCESS. <br />WHEREAS, the City is required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to <br />conduct a self-assessment of accessibility to and within its infrastructure and physica: <br />facilities open to the public and, if structural changes are required, to formulate a <br />transition plan for those changes; and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with the recommendation of the Directors of Public <br />Service, Planning and Law, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of <br />Public Service to request proposals from persons and/or firms qualified to provide <br />consultant services for the analysis of the City's Infrastructure and Facilities for <br />conformance to the ADA, and further to authorize the Mayor to enter into an agreement <br />with the person and/or firms selected in the RFP process and approved by the Board of <br />Control; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he hereby is authorizec' <br />to request proposals from persons and/or firms qualified to provide consultant services for <br />the analysis of the Municipal Infrastructure and Facilities for conformance to the <br />Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in accordance with the Request for Proposals <br />prepared by the Director of Planning. A copy of the said Request for Proposals and a <br />sample Personal Services Agreement are attached to this Ordinance, respectively, as <br />Exhibits A and B.
