.,... ... <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006-150 <br />BY: Mayor O'Grady <br />A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SER VICE <br />TO SOLICIT BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF EIGHT THOUSAND (8,000) <br />TONS OF ROCK SALT FOR ICE AND SNOW REMOVAL PER <br />SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE IN HIS OFFICE, AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR SAID PURCHASE <br />SUBJECT TO APPROVAL BY THE BOARD OF CONTROL, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, specifications for the purchase of Eight Thousand (8,000) tons of rock salt <br />for ice and snow removal have been prepared and are on file in the Office of the Director of <br />Public Service; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public Service to <br />advertise for bids for said purchase of Eight Thousand (8,000) tons of rock salt and to authorize <br />the Mayor, upon approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the lowest and <br />best bidder. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to <br />advertise for bids for the purchase of Eight Thousand (8,000) tons of rock salt in accordance 1vith <br />specifications now on file in his office, and further that, upon approval by the Board of Control, <br />the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract and execute same on behalf of the City of <br />North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the <br />earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED: Oc? 3e 02 n4 4 <br />I 4 T ST.• ? <br />/ <br />? <br />1/1, 4 41 <br />BA ARA L.
