<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006 -133 <br />By: Mayor Thomas E. O'Grady <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE <br />TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THREE (3) NEW STAINLESS STEEL <br />NINE-FOOT (9) DUMP BODIES, HOISTS AND HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS <br />FOR THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT TRUCKS; AND FURTHER <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, AFTER BOARD OF CONTROL APPROVAL, <br />TO ENTER INTO A PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR THE SAME. <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Public Service has advised this Council that ic is <br />necessary to purchase three (3) new stainless steel nine-foot (9') dump bodies, hoists and <br />hydraulic systems for the Service Department trucks; and <br />WHEREAS, the necessary specifications for said trucks, as prepared under the direction <br />of the Service Department of the City of North Olmsted, are on file in the Service Director's <br />Office; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public Service to <br />advertise for bids for three (3) new stainless steel nine-foot (9') dump bodies, hoists and <br />hydraulic systems for the Service Department trucks, and to further authorize the Mayor to enter <br />into a contract with the lowest and best bidder to purchase said dump bodies, hoists and <br />hydraulic systems, after Board of Control approval; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to <br />advertise for bids for three (3) new stainless steel nine-foot (9') dump bodies, hoists and <br />hydraulic systems for the Service Department trucks in accordance with the specifications now <br />on file in the Service Director's Office, and further that, upon approval by the Board of Control, <br />the Mayor is authorized to enter into a contract and execute the same on behalf of the City of <br />North Olmsted with the lowest and best bidder. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the <br />earliest period allowed by law.
