Ordinance No. 2006-122 <br />(e) Definitions. For the purposes of this section, the following definitions shall <br />apply: <br />(1) "Animal hospitals/clinics" means any facility used for the medical treatment <br />of animals, where animals may be boarded only during their convalescence <br />from such medical treatment, and where all operations are conducted <br />completely indoors. <br />(2) "Animal grooming facility" means any facility providing bathing or <br />trimming of domestic animals for a fee, where all operations are conducted <br />completely indoors. This term includes facilities that board domestic animals <br />for a maximum period of 48 hours incidental to the grooming services <br />provided. <br />(3) "Animal training facility" means any facility providing training of domestic <br />animals for a fee, where all operations are conducted completely indoors. <br />This term includes facilities that board domestic animals for a maximum <br />period of 48 hours incidental to the training services provided. <br />(4) "Indoor animal boarding facility" means any facility where domestic animals <br />owned by another person are temporarily boarded for a fee and whose <br />activities are conducted completely indoors. <br />(5) "Kennels" means any facility used for the boarding, breeding, raising, <br />training, showing or selling of dogs and/or cats for a fee. Such facilities may <br />include outdoor dog runs. <br />SECTION 2: That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby directed to cause <br />notice of a Public Hearing hereon to be given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of <br />Article N of the Charter of the City of North Olmsted and Section 1127.03 of the North <br />Olmsted Zoning Code. <br />SECTION 3: That, in all other respects, the North Olmsted Zoning Code, as <br />amended and supplemented from time to time, shall remain in full force and effect. <br />SECTION 4: That the original Section 1139.01 of the Zoning Code amended <br />herein is expressly repealed, and all other ordinances or parts of ordinances or resolutions <br />that are inconsistent or in conflict with the newly amended section are likewise repealed <br />to the extent of such inconsistency or conflict only. <br />SECTION 5: That, if any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase, term, <br />provision or part of this Ordinance shall be adjudged by any court of competent <br />jurisdiction to be invalid or inoperative, such judgment shall not affect, impair or <br />invalidate the remainder thereof, but shall be confined in its operation to the section, <br />paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase, term, provision or part thereof directly involved in <br />the controversy in which such judgment shall have been rendered. <br />SECTION 6: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after <br />the earliest period allowed by law. <br />6
