? <br />? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2006 -116 <br />BY: Mayor O'Grady <br />**W <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED TO ENTER INTO A PERSONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT <br />WITH TREVOR HAZEN TO SERVE AS THE GOLF PRO AT THE <br />SPRINGVALE GOLF COURSE, AND DECLARINGANEMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, as a result of the tragic death of Springvale golf pro Jerry Ludvik, it <br />is necessary to obtain the services of a new golf pro at Springvale this golf season; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Director of Community Life <br />Services that the City enter into an agreement with Trevor Hazen to provide said services <br />at Springvale; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 111.08 of the Administrative Code provides that contracts <br />for the services of a golf pro may be exempted from the formal RFP process otherwise <br />required by Sections 111.03 et seq. of the Administrative Code; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into a <br />contract with Trevor Hazen to provide professional golf pro services to the City at the <br />Springvale golf course during the current golf season up to and until December 31, 2006; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to enter into a <br />personal services contract with Trevor Hazen to serve as golf pro at the Springvale Golf <br />Course for the 2006 golf season ending on December 31, 2006, in substantially the form <br />and substance of the agreement attached to this Ordinance as Exhibit A. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and <br />for the reason that it is necessary that this Ordinance go into effect immediately in order <br />to timely provide golf pro services at Springvale for the 2006 golf season, and further <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
