.??,.a.N -.«.?.:...ua-?... .?_....___ • CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 2006 - 113 BY: Council Member Gareau AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 97-34, WHICH ESTABLISHED THE HOTEL/MOTEL TAX FUND, IN ORDER TO EXPAND THE PURPOSES FOR WHICH MONIES IN THE SAID FUND MAY BE EXPENDED. WHEREAS, in 1997 Council adopted Ordinance No. 97-34, thereby creating the Hotel/Motel Tax Fund; and WHEREAS, Section 1 of said Ordinance limits expenditures in said fund "Police and Fire equipment and Police and Fire buildings"; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to amend Section 1 of Ordinance No. 97-34 to authorize other substantial expenditures by the Police and Fire Divisions; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That Section 1 of Ordinance No.97-34, which presently reads as follows: Section 1: That there is hereby created a Hotel/Motel Tax Fund within the Special Revenue Fund group to account for the City's hotel and motel tax revenues and related expenditures for Police and Fire equipment and Police and Fire buildings. Be Amended, and, as Amended, shall read in its entirety as follow: Section 1: That there is hereby created a HoteUMotel Tax Fund within the Special Revenue Fund group to account for the City's hotel and motel tax revenues and related authorized expenditures of the Police and Fire Divisions. Authorized expenditures from the Fund shall be limited to the purchase of vehicles and equipment for Police and Fire Division Staff, and the repair or reulacement of buildin2s and other capital items or imurovements at the Police and Fire Stations. SECTION 2: That all ordinances, or parts of ordinances, inconsistent or in conflict with this Ordinance, are, to the extent of such inconsistency or conflict, repealed.
