.??,.a.N -.«.?.:...ua-?... .?_....___ <br /> <br />• <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2006 - 113 <br />BY: Council Member Gareau <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE <br />NO. 97-34, WHICH ESTABLISHED THE HOTEL/MOTEL <br />TAX FUND, IN ORDER TO EXPAND THE PURPOSES FOR <br />WHICH MONIES IN THE SAID FUND MAY BE EXPENDED. <br />WHEREAS, in 1997 Council adopted Ordinance No. 97-34, thereby creating the <br />Hotel/Motel Tax Fund; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 1 of said Ordinance limits expenditures in said fund "Police and <br />Fire equipment and Police and Fire buildings"; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to amend Section 1 of Ordinance No. 97-34 to <br />authorize other substantial expenditures by the Police and Fire Divisions; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That Section 1 of Ordinance No.97-34, which presently reads as follows: <br />Section 1: That there is hereby created a Hotel/Motel Tax Fund within the <br />Special Revenue Fund group to account for the City's hotel and motel tax <br />revenues and related expenditures for Police and Fire equipment and Police and <br />Fire buildings. <br />Be Amended, and, as Amended, shall read in its entirety as follow: <br />Section 1: That there is hereby created a HoteUMotel Tax Fund within the <br />Special Revenue Fund group to account for the City's hotel and motel tax <br />revenues and related authorized expenditures of the Police and Fire Divisions. <br />Authorized expenditures from the Fund shall be limited to the purchase of <br />vehicles and equipment for Police and Fire Division Staff, and the repair or <br />reulacement of buildin2s and other capital items or imurovements at the <br />Police and Fire Stations. <br />SECTION 2: That all ordinances, or parts of ordinances, inconsistent or in conflict with <br />this Ordinance, are, to the extent of such inconsistency or conflict, repealed.
