ORDINANCE N0. 794 <br />BY MR. PADDOCK <br />AN ORDINANCE IIWIAYING JOHN R. CIAYD VILLAGE IIVGIATEER <br />AND FIXING HIS COMPENSATION. <br />BE IT ORDAINID BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF AiUR2H OLMSTED, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1. That John R. Cloyd be, and he is hereby employed as Engineer <br />of the Fillage of North Ol,msted for a period begi.nning imnedi.ate],y upon <br />passage of this ordinance and ending on the 31st day of December 1951, <br />or nntil his successor is qualified and appointed., to cb all work which <br />customarily devolves itself upon the Engineer. <br />Sectfc>n 2. The employment and compensation of said engineer shall <br />be as folloti+s: <br />(a) For services rendered as Ehgineer and the furnishing of the <br />necessary engineering supplies for which contracts are let, <br />the total cost of which exceed $5,,000.00 a sum equal to 7% <br />of the total cost payable 3% upon eompletion of plans., profiles <br />and estimates and the remaining 4% as mpnthly estimates sre <br />rendered and in proportion thereto. <br />(b) For other Village engineering work of a general nature where <br />drafting designingp e stimating., or field work is necessary, <br />the following rates shall apply and be payable morithly, which <br />includes drafting equipment; field survey equipment atld ir- <br />struments; also transportation: <br />Helper Rodman or Chainman <br />Instrument man <br />Party Chief or Office Ehgi,neer <br />Registered Professional engineer <br />or principal on Special Work, <br />Conference, Court Work., etc. <br />$2.50 per hour <br />1,00 n a <br />f* . 50 " n <br />5.00 n n <br />(c) For supervision of general engineering matters; attendance at <br />Court House, Cleveland City Hall, Council and necessary Planning <br />Coaanission meetings; advi.ce to officials; general engineering <br />office serv3.ces to the public and piiblic utility corporations, <br />telephoning and general office correspondence; the suea of <br />$150.00 for the reaminder of January and each mAnth thereafter,, <br />payable monthlp. <br />Section 3. Al1 finished planss records, notes, etc., made and compiZed <br />by said Enginesr in the proaecution of his duties in said offiee and <br />pertaining to Village work shall belong to and be the property of t he <br />Village. <br />Seetion . That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergeney <br />measure necessary for the imrnediate preservation of the public health, wel» <br />fare, and safety, and for the additional reason that the present necessi- <br />ties of the Yillage requires the immediate services of an engineer and <br />shall take effect and be in foree from and after its passage. <br />PASSID: January 3, 1950 <br />ATTFST: E.
