ordinance No. 778 <br />By Mr. Baumgardner <br />' AN ORDINANCE <br />ESTABZISHING A POLICE RELIEF AND PENSION FUND AND P80VIDING FOR <br />THE APPOINTNENT OF A BOARD OF TRUSTFES TO BE KNOWN AS THE <br />TRUSTEES OF THE POLICE REZIEF AND PENSION FUND, AIL IN ACCORDANCE <br />WITH THE STATUT&S OF THE STATE OF OHIO Ild EFFECT AT THE TIME OF <br />THE PASSAGE OF THIS ORDINANCE., INCLUDIIdG HOUSE BII,L N0. 325 As <br />PASSED ON THE SECORJD DAY OF JUNE? 1949. <br />WHFRF;AS no effeetive ordinance has heretofore been <br />passed to establish a Police Relief and Pension Fund, and <br />WEIEREAS this Council desires to establish a Police <br />Aelief and Pension Fund and provide for the appointment of <br />a Board of Trustees, a11 in accordance with the statutes of <br />the State of Ohio; now, therePore, <br />BE IT URDAINED by the Council of the Village of <br />North Olmsted, 5tate of Ohio: <br />Section 1. It is hereby declared necessary to establish, <br />and there is hereby established, a Poliee Relief and Pension <br />Fund, a11 in accordance with the statutes in the State of Ohio <br />in effect governing police relief and pension funds., includi.ng <br />House Bill 325 as passed on the second day of June, 1949• <br />Section 2. A Board of Trustees sha11 be appointed to <br />be known as the Trustees of the Police Relief and Pension Fund; <br />said appointment shall be made in accordance with the statutes <br />of the State of Ohio governing the appointment of a Board of <br />Trustees for the Police Relief and Pension fund. <br />Section 3. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure, the energeney being that it is necessary for <br />the imunediate preservation of public health, peace, safety and <br />welfare and for the daily operation of a munieipal department <br />of the Village, that this ordinance be passed at once and shall <br />take effect and be i.n foree from and after its passage. <br />Passed: September 13, 1949. <br />Glerk <br />Mayor <br />?.?,._
